Plovdiv. The World Coalition against Death Penalty, uniting about 60 organizations, will consider the case of the Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor, sentenced to death in Libya, a priority, Michel Taube, Chairman of the organization Together against the Death Penalty said in the Bulgarian town of Plovdiv, BNR reported. Taube noted that now is the moment when politicians and citizens of the European states must show their solidarity with the condemned, and a way to do this is all European capitals to put the ‘You are not alone’ symbol on the facades of their town councils. The ribbons should be worn also by all European Ministers, to show that the Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor are not forgotten, he said. Michel Taube is visiting Bulgaria on invitation by the national Ombudsman Ginyo Ganev. In Plovdiv, Taube met with the Mayor of the town Ivan Chomakov – Chairman of the Citizens’ Association for encouraging the relations with Libya and member of the International ‘Benghazi’ fund. *‘You are not alone’ – a campaign to save the Bulgarian nurses and Palestinian doctor sentenced to death in Libya. The campaign is widely known in Bulgaria. Its symbol is a ribbon in the colors of the national flag with the inscription ‘You are not alone’ at both ends, in Bulgarian and English.
