I just do not see how a doctor can get involved with killing, unless his name is Karl Brandt or Josef Mengele. The question is the Hippocratic Oath or its progeny. The DOC may find a doctor, retired, or without a license, but the threat by the medical board is like preaching to the choir. Governor Easley lacks the zivilcourage to act in this catch-22. The longer the moratorium lasts, the better the chance for abolition. Many of the legislators favor abolition but lack the guts to actively support it.
