The New York Times reported yesterday that both a Federal Judge in California and Florida Governor Jeb Bush declared moratoriums on executions until questions about the cruel and unusual nature of lethal injection is more fully explored.
Similar litigation is ongoing in North Carolina and could have impact the constitutionality of the planned execution of Marcus Robinson, Guy LeGrande (if he's found competent) and my client, Jerry Conner, whose stay of execution was lifted by the North Carolina Supreme Court on Thursday.
