That question is suggested by the Legal Pad - the Californa Law Reporter’s blog (that is American Legal Media’s California presence)n otes that a close reading of Judge Fogel’s opinion suggests that members of the California execution team have been stealing sodium thiopental. “Although the judge didn’t come out and explicitly say it, there were strong hints that San Quentin personnel may be stealing the sodium thiopental sedative that is supposed to knock out the inmates before they receive the second injection of deadly — and extremely painful — chemicals.”
