News Video & Meeting Update - Florida

Friends,

I am rushing this out because the Fox 13 News video may only be available TODAY.

Today's meeting of the Governor's Commission on the Administration featured testimony by phone and with disguised voices of the Primary Executioner who pushed the plungers and a Medical Staffer who inserted IV's into the arms of Angel Diaz. The FDLE Agent testified in person as well as Dr. Nik Gravenstien, Dept. of Anesthesiology at UF (by phone). Harley Lappin, Director of Federal Prisons and Commission member gave a proud talk on virtues of the superior construction of the Federal Lethal Injection Death Chamber in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Public comment statements were made by Carol Weiher of the Anesthesia Awareness Campaign, Mark Elliott, Hugo Adam Bedau - Tufts Univ. Professor, Martha Mortenson, Sol Otero - Angel Diaz's Niece.

Sol Otero's comments were especially moving. Carol Weiher also got their attention. Great job Martha and Adam!

Next meeting Monday Feb 12 - Tampa. Another meeting Feb 19, also Tampa. No Tallahassee meeting scheduled. Opportunity for public comment will again be given at at least one meeting.

Good news coverage!

Today's Commission on LI meeting news video. Great lead in comments by reporters:
